Breathing Poetry

My poem, ICONS, is featured on the wonderful new blog, "Breathing Poetry - A Collection of Words and Emotions." ICONS appears on the January 16 post.

Although, you may have read ICONS here, when I posted it back in the fall - please do YOURSELF a favor and (click here
Breathing Poetry )to read the OTHER poems found there. It is a veritable feast for the eyes, not to mention the spirit! Nancy's blog has art, poetry, poetry quotes, contributor's links and more.

K! Congratulations! You and Julie in one week! :-) I read your poem over there and found it absolutely beautiful in its imagery and a feeling of melancholy longing as I read it.

Hi Julie - thanks for the admiring comments. I feel exactly the same way about your work. Your poem, We Leave the Beaches for Tourists, which is featured on Breathing Poetry on Jan 13, is simply a marvel.

I echo your words..."poets promoting poets - isn't that what it is all about?" :)

Nancy - I am happy to share your beautiful site with all who live and breath poetry! It is wonderful that you have afforded poets such a welcoming forum as Breathing Poetry.

I appreciate your complimentary remarks and hope you will visit here again soon. :)

Clay - Welcome to Old Mossy Moon. I hope you will be a frequent visitor. Your kind comments are so appreciated.

I did get over to your blog, M.IV, Wow!!! Fascinating! The stories are beautifully rendered and evocative. Thanks again! :)

Hi Cat - Thanks a million. There are so many fantastic poems posted, aren't there? I love seeing all the different styles of poetry and the areas of the country where the poets live.
I appreciate your comments on the poem - here and there. :D

I loved this poem when I read it here, and I love it seeing it there! Congratulations on receiving the sort of recognition you deserve.

This poem is a beautiful tribute to a magical place and time.

Karen - Yes, it was a magical place, and hopefully still is. Thanks for reading ICONS, again, at another venue.

Oh, and is the secret out yet? :D

K-- I truly haven't shared this part of my life with anyone - yet. I can keep it a secret but I can hardly contain my excitement at having found all of this through you. Thank you for being willing to let me in.

Karen - lol - glad to have figured into the "scheme" somehow. You are always welcome into any part of my life. You would have found your way, even without me.

Congratulations on having your poem included with so many other gems, K! What a beautiful site she has.

I can see your hometown so clearly in my mind's eye, while reading your words. You always have a way of bringing the very essence of the past alive, and then wrapping it around our shoulders to warm us anew. A beautiful acceptance buried within those mussels and mountains.

Thanks for pointing out the site, too! Your link has one too many "http"s in it, though. Just letting you know, so you can correct it. :)

Your hometown is probably like mine in many ways. Thanks for your kind comments and pointing out the extra http. :)

I kept trying to fix it but it wouldn't fix. (Could be me) So just wrote - "click Breathing Poetry."
