JUST BELIEVE!

JUST BELIEVE!

There is fairy music in the night
And a brush of wings in silvery light.

A big old moon with a wintry glow
Making glittery sparkles on the snow.

The big reindeer now fairly prances
He’s ready to fly while a vision dances.

So with a fanfare of horn, drum, and banjo
Santa lifts the reigns and laughs – Let’s go!

Into the dark and wild sky they race
Magically tricking time and space.

Around the world in just one night
Oh, wish I may and wish I might

See that old elf on his way
Across the heavens in his sleigh!

And to you too K. I love the way you worked the banjo into the orchestra. Being here in Appalachia, you gotta have a banjo! Love the delightful Christmas joy, the sparkling light, and the mention of Santa Claus. My one 3/4 inch Santa is my one single Christmas decoration this year. (Of course he's there all year round too, but don't tell anyone).

K, you made me believe!

This poem has a bouncing rhythm, almost like the words are enough to propel Santa on his way. :)

I'm going to read this one to my kids. You've really conjured that Christmas magic.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, K. I'm so glad we connected this year.

My smile and tears could not be bigger! For this has captured the very spirit of every Christmas that I have ever spent with you, MOM! Thank you for all the incredible magic as a child! It lives within me, and I draw upon it, as it is now my turn to create that old magic for my own child.....
Merry Christmas from your daughter.

This poem is making me excited! I agree with Cat...LOVE the banjo!! That's really good how you worked it in there, and the lively rhythm makes me think of a banjo, too. This poem should be read in the town square!

Merry Christmas, K! Thanks for your friendship and for brightening up the world with your beautiful words.
