BEYOND THE VEIL

BEYOND THE VEIL

you mark your days
with rented doorways
and the heavy body
that ticks the hours
swinging on a cord –

this life…
extraordinary sorrow
and more –
a long and reluctant
letting go

MOM! Welcome back. What a nice surprise this morning....
Lonely and thoughtful, but as always written in a way that is completely yours. (Want to discuss more later...) Great to see you back...

And so, here we are still. I feel like this one is written for me. Of course, that's what good poetry often does, isn't it? Joaquin says it's a whisper. I agree: a breath.

Gorgeous picture - mysterious and mystical!

Welcome back, Kay. You've truly been missed. Love the new photo (top right).

I do hope your hands have fully recovered, and that the surgery and therapy have rendered your hand movements pain-free.

Cheers.

I'm speechless. We have missed your disturbing( in a good way) revelations of our truths.

Kay, send this to The New Yorker. Please.

Welcome back Kay!

I hope your hands are fully recovered.
Really missed reading your poems.

"Beyond the Veil" is so deep and sad - but so totally true.
